Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is the next generation Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, which has been designed to manage internal and external information across an entire organization from customer relationship management, financing/accounting, manufacturing and etc. According to the , the beta version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 is available in April and the final RTM version is expected to be generally available in August 2011.

In order to provide an overview of the Microsoft Dynamics AX documentation for IT administrators, developers and users, Microsoft development team has compiled all the related links to documentation resources of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 into white paper with the title “Documentation resources for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012”. Currently it’s named as “Pre-release documentation resources for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012” as the final product hasn’t been shipped, but the documents are in on-going update.

The contents of the documentation resources for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 are separated into three sections (credit greenberg), i.e. documentation resources for users, documentation resources for IT administrators and documentation for developers. The documents contains all the links to the individual documentation resources which are presented in table form with ‘Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 documentation’, ‘Location’ and ‘Description’ columns.
