Not long after Shuttle Inc announced its X27 barebone nettop with single core Intel Atom processor since last year, now the company is ready to ship its newer version dual-core Intel Atom based mini-ITX system targeted for both consumer and enterprise applications that require much higher processing power for daily operation.

The X270V is powered by dual-core Intel Atom 330 series processor clocking at 1.6GHz. Further coupled with Intel 945GC and ICH7 with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, it offers a great processing power with high performance per watt ratio suitable for multimedia and graphics intensive multi-tasking. Surprisingly, the company claims to be able to maintain the TDP (Thermal Design Power) with thermal envelope of 8 watts (for processor) which could be designed with passive heatsink suitable for fanless applications. Some other features include 1GB DDR2 memory, PCI-E slot, dual independent VGA and DVI output, 2.5-inch 160GB hard disk drive, Gigabit Ethernet and USB 2.0 ports.

The model is currently available for order now and at a retail price of USD390, it will be preloaded with OpenSUSE Linux or users can choose to upgrade it with Windows Operating System at USD514.
